I love Halloween! Such a festive and fun holiday which is first a series of wonderful fall/winter holidays. Dressing up, getting and giving candy, and just a little bit of mischief. This month, Julep released their Trick or Treat Box (which i didn't even realize was the mystery box until my friend Krys told me that is what it was) that encompassed the spirit and fun of this holiday.
In my Trick Or Treat Box i received three festive polishes, a bag of candy corn, two nail glitters, and decals! I've been seeing some negative buzz regarding this box and how it was a disappointment but i am in no way disappointed. The advertisement let us think we were getting jewelry or a scarf, but many just received nail decals. I am not a a fan of skull jewelry and i can take or leave a scarf. So over all i felt this box was a value and loved its contents and presentation.
As for the polish, it was the Julep quality that i have grown to adore!
Morgan- This deep blue based purple polish glides on opaquely with even coverage. Have a bit of a metallic swirl and is non streaky.
Parker- Creamy opaque yellow based orange. One coat full coverage. This color is perfect for spring, summer, and fall. It is a great shade that can transition through the seasons when paired with the right accent nail, or used under black crakle for a fun Halloween look.
Zoe- This reddish copper metallic shade is the same shade as the red in leaves that are changing colors. Just beautiful. Perfect for fall, not just Halloween. Non streaky, one coat even coverage. Great shade to add to your fall nail wardrobe.
Extra's
Blue and Purple cosmetic glitter.
Candy Corn!
Nail Decals.
Nail design using orange glitter, black crackle and Parker!

Julep August Mystery Box BOMBSHELL Review and Swatches
Ah, the illusive mystery box! I don't have the power to resist you. This
month Julep
released not one but FIVE different categories of mystery boxes. Each
category is based on the different style profiles such as It Girl,
Bombshell, Boho Glam, American Beauty, and Classic With A Twist. Each
category will only have polishes from that style and there will be no
cross overs. Julep Mystery boxes cost $19.95 and contain items worth
$60-$200 dollars! Considering the polish alone at Sephora is close to
$15 dollars each, these are a steal.
I decided to buy one of each! The second to arrive was Bombshell. This box was even smaller than my first box, my heart sank with disappointment. The box was smaller than a size of scissors. While the box was very small the items were worth more than what i pied. This is one of the $60 dollar boxes and the polishes were beautiful, not to mention i also received a lip verins (lip gloss). I fell in love with their lip gloss's when i got one in the July box. So overall, not so bad. These polishes are opaque after only one swipe. Christine is a little streaky but applies so beautiful i don't think you will find it to be a deal breaker.
Parker-
This is a creamy yellow orange. I was so excited about this color. When i tried to open it the cap snapped right off. I ordered another one, called customer service, and i am being refunded. This company has A+ customer service. So while i wasn't able to do much with this polish i was able to do a quick swatch.
Niecy-
A bright, almost neon, creamy pink.
Christina-
Medium with micro gold. I love love this color and these pictures do the shimmer no justice.
Lip Verins in Peony-
Love this lip gloss. It is a smooth nude and applies very soft. This is non sticky, has a great smell, and no weird taste. It is a little milky and will settle into the creases of the lips so maybe apply over a nude lipstick to prevent the settling.
Did you purchase a mystery box? What did you recieve?
