Urban Decay Moon Dust Shadow Review and Swatches
A little late to update this but if you haven't already seen them or got your hands on them, the new Urban Decay Moondust shadows are a must have!
What is so special about Moondust shadows? While they offer sparkle and shine without all the mess (though there is some fall out!) Use these shadows wet or dry for a high pigmented look. They have a bit of a moist feeling to them which helps them to adhere to the skin well though i still suggest using a primer. Above i have both Zodiac and Stargazer shades. I love glittery these are! They do contain reflective micro-glitter and its higher in quality than most micro-glitter shadows. I would not recommend using a brush that isn't dense to apply these.
They Have great pigmentation but are more glitter than shadow. Overall these are a
must have if you like sparkle! They are currently on sale for 20$ on www.sephora.com. Below i have created an eye look using Stargazer on the lid and Zodiac on the crease blended out to the brow bone. I got a full 7 hours of wear with minimal fading.

Urban Decay Deluxe Shadow Box Review and Swatches
I am a big fan of the Urban Decay Deluxe shadows. High quality, ease of blending trendy shades and cute packaging. While having individual shadows is nice, sometimes you just want everything in its compact little place. This palette offers the beauty of Deluxe shadow shades with the convince of a mini palette.
This Box contains 9 shades altogether: Fishnet, Honey, Ransom, Graffiti, Zero, Peace, Shag, Scratch, and Underground. There are four 5 bright and fun shades and 4 neutral shades. This palette has flexibility in that you can use it to have a pop of color in a neutral look, a full neutral look, a full bright look, or neutral pop. You can do smokey eyes, bright eyes, or even use these as liners. Included is a small sample of primer not pictured here (see back of outer package above).
The packaging of this product is a purple velvet lined box.that closes magnetically. Since there is no locking closure you can not just throw this in your purse. The front has a metal mesh while the back is bare and with minimal information. Inside there is a mirror, two sponge applicators, a bird and flower design along with the shades and their names.
Each of these shades had flawless application. Even without primer these shades had fantastic pigmentation. They felt almost a little moist when applying to the skin. Without primer they last about 4 hours on the lid before fading with primer they can last about 8+ hours without fading. I did not find these to crease and i did not experience fallout.

Overall if you are looking for great quality shadows in both brights and neutrals, this product is ideal to pick up. The only downside is no secure closing but aside from this product does not disappoint. You can purchase it on the Urban Decay Website for $16.

Urban Decay Oz The Great and Powerful Theodroa Palette Review and Swatches
When it comes to cosmetics i always opt for bright, playful, girly shades. I like neutrals from time to time but often will not go out of my way to get them (I have Naked and Naked 2 from Urban Decay). When i saw that Urban Decay was releasing two palettes for Oz the Great and Powerful, Glinda the good witch of the south and Theodra the wicked witch of the West, i was pretty excited. I somewhat wanted to pass on Theodora (since i had only seen promo pictures online) but the more i eyed it the more possibilities i saw. This palette contains a lot more than you can see at first glace, and if you haven't picked this up yet, by the end of reading this you probably will!
First i want to tell you about the packaging. Have you ever seen such a pretty design? I thought that Glinda had a pretty box but this almost rainbow misted celestial view of greens, blues, and yellows surrounded by shadowy black conveys a lot more emotion and depth of the character than Glinda. You can see the looming black as a sign of jealousy and anger surrounding someone who deep down is quite beautiful but complicated. I haven't even seen the movie and this box can conger that. Bravo to the marketing department over at Urban Decay! On the back of the box we can see Mila Kunis in character as the wicked witch of the west. She does not look overdone but rather has a classy and mysterious look to her. The shades are displayed broken to show texture along with the Black 24/7 glide on eye pencil and the Super-saturated High Gloss Lip Color in Theodora.
Once you open the box you realize that this palette has the same gorgeous and powerful design. Oz the Great and Powerful is in goldish letters raised from the center of the palette. The palette itself is just a bit smaller than the box it comes in. This palette snaps closed. The only item that is external from the palette is the Theodora Super Saturated High-Gloss Lip Color. It would have been nice to see it housed all as one, but this isn't too much of a big deal. In the palette is a mirror on one side and the shades on the other. The shades are in the new Urban Decay format in that they are not pans but rather stand alone shadow refills that can be placed into other palettes from Urban Decay or placed into an eyeshadow case to use individually (not included). The eye pencil is in the center of the palette and there is no brush included (i would have liked another Urban Decay brush, but this is also not a deal breaker. The palette is roughly the size of my hand.
As i said above the shades are in their own little individual refill trays. They can be popped out, moved around, placed in other palettes, or placed in individual shadow holder (not included). In order to see the name of each color you have to pop it out to see the sticker on the bottom. They are in this palette in a sturdy way but i would be cautious in removing them, they can pop out a little too quickly and break.
The shades, popped out below, are what you would expect from Urban Decay. I can not say there was any real failures. I found the quality of all these shades to be on par with other Urban Decay Shadows. You can use these without primer and still get great pigmentation. Use over primer for a more lasting look. With primer these shade will last about 7-8 hours before fading while without they will last about 5 without fading. Broken is a very sheer white. In fact it is so sheer that while cropping for the swatches i could not see it on the skin and forgot it was there, so it was accidentally cropped out of the pictures below that lack flash. I believe this shade was made intentionally sheer just as Aura was in the Glinda palette. This shade is perfect for under the brow bone, as a highlighter, or to soften the darker shades like West and Bewitch. Beware is a reddend brown shade that is pigmented but still soft. This would make a good lid shade or crease shade. Bewitch is a bit darker and more of a greyed chocolate brown. This would be a great crease shade or even a outer V shade. Good contour shade. West is the darkest brown and is a dark chocolate brown. You can use Beware, Bewitch, and West to create a gradient on the lid. Spell is a duo shade which contains a dark forest green and a green tinted gold. Both apply very pigmented and compliment each other. Use the forest green of Spell on the lid for a smokey eye look blended out with the golden color or use the golden color on the lid and the forest green as a crease and contour. This shade could work very well on its own separate from this palette. Jealous is another duo shade which contains a medium emerald green along with a lighter green. These shades, just as in Spell, work very well together on their own. Overall the shades included range from neutral browns to green's with a nice gold in between. These shades are great for everyday looks with just a pop of color. Though i think using the greens can allow you to get quite creative. I did not find any to have any significant fall out.

In addition to the eye shadows, this palette contains a 24/7 eyeliner called Zero and a Super-Saturated High-Gloss Lip Color in Theodora. While the Lip Color is a full size the liner is a sample size. Zero is a deep black that glides on the lid without tugging or pulling. The Lip Color was true to the pencil and looked exactly like it does on Mila Kunis. It is a bright red that glides on soft but is very opaque. Felt moisturizing on the lips.

Urban Decay Oz The Great and Powerful Glinda Palette Review and Swatches
Most people know the story of the Wizard of Oz, beloved book and 1930's movie, but it didn't start, or even begin there! Oz The Great and Powerful, the prequel book to the above mentioned has now been turned into a star studded new movie featuring such great actresses as Michelle Williams and Mila Kunis! With these glamorous ladies playing such powerful characters comes glamorous looks. Urban Decay's Oz The Great and Powerful palettes for Glinda and Theodora allow you to recreate (includes a look card, face chart and even how to!) the beautiful makeup looks of these characters. Are you ready to be whisked away to oz?
When i first saw the pictures for the Oz Great and Powerful palettes the first one to catch my eye was Glinda. Soft shades of pink, purple, along with iridescent, and metallic shades i was just about sold. Not only do these shades really suit the look of Glinda but they also suit my personal style. Girly, bright, and playful. There is enough range of colors in this palettes to get creative with a fun and bold look, but also enough sheer shades and everyday shades to make this palette work for everyday looks. I wouldn't call this palette neutral but it does have shades that can work for the neutral lover.
On the front of the box is Oz the Great and Powerful in large golden letters against a very soft white, pink, and peach celestial background. On the back is the listing and crushed visual of the colors along with a full face look of Michelle Williams in character.
The palette itself is just a bit smaller than the box it comes in and it is housed in a metallic tin. The design on the box is the same design on the palette itself. This palette snaps closed. The only item that is external from the palette is the Glinda Super Saturated High-Gloss Lip Color. In order to see the name of each color you have to pop it out to see the sticker on the bottom. They are in this palette in a sturdy way but i would be cautious in removing them. I had an issue removing one and it went flying out and broke a little on the side.
The shades (popped out below with their names visible) are (almost!) what you would expect from Urban Decay. With only one real failure of the 6 i am overall pleased with the quality. For these shades a primer isn't needed but it also doesn't hurt. Adding a primer can add time to how long these shades stay intense. The shades will last on the eye for about 5 hours before slight fading, with a primer they can last upward of 8. Tornado is a rich burgundy purple that applys with great pigmentation. It is the darkest of the shades included and would be great for a smokey eye, contour color, outter v shade, or even used as a liner. Aura is broken up into two different shades. Both are intentionally sheer. One is a violet iridescent sheer while the other leans a bit red/pink iridescent sheer. This shade is perfect under the brow bone and great for softening other colors. Mix the violet side of Aura over Tornado to soften the shade down a bit. Magic is a soft blue based pink. This shade is decently pigmented. Bright but not over powering. Would make a great lid shade or even a crease shade if using Illusion on the lid. Illusion is a sheer nude shade. Depending on your skin tone you can use this as an under the brow bone color, highlighter, or lid color. I like to use this as an all over the lid color as a base for the other shades. Oz is another duo shade which contains two metallic shades. One is a bright gold with gold glitter and the other is a silver with silver glitter. This is the only shade that fails on quality due to the glitter fallout. These shades would have been great without the glitter or had the glitter adhered to the lid. Based solely on their metallic color they are fantastic and glide one opaque and very bright. The glitter falls off onto the cheek, lashes, and even into the eye. The last shade, South is a darkened metallic grey. This shade is light enough to be a great lid shade but also dark enough to create a smokey eye look, use as a crease, or outer V. Use South in the crease to blend out Tornado when doing a smokey eye with a bit of Aura in the corner and line the bottom lid with the silver OZ.
In addition to the eye shadows, this palette contains a 24/7 eyeliner in Rockstar and a Super-Saturated High-Gloss Lip Color in Glinda. While the Lip Color is a full size the liner is a sample size. Rockstar is a burgundy purple that reads quite dark on light skin. It looked like a brown almost black on my skin tone. The Lip Color was true to the pencil and looked exactly like it does on Michelle Williams on the look card included.
The look card that is included is a picture of Michelle Williams from the film Oz the Great and Powerful in full character. The face chart on the back is done in the form of "paint by numbers" in that each number corresponds to a shade or step on the left.

Look-
I created my own quick eye look (and you can see the glitter fallout under my eye!). I used Illusion on my lid, Magic on my crease, Aura in the red/pink side under my brow, Tornado on my outer V to contour, and OZ in silver under my eye as a liner. I lined my eye with the Urban Decay 24/7 eye pencil in Rockstar.
