Feeling a little Moody Blooms

I finally got the chance to play with the Mac Cosmetics Moody Blooms collection. I figured what better time to try out a whole look than date night. 

What I wore: 

A floral dress from www.rainbowshops.com

I didn't accessorize like I usually do since I didn't want to distract from the loud pattern. Sometimes it's great just to keep things simple and let a garment speak for itself. 

Makeup look:

Eyes:

Lid- green room

Center of lid - lucky green

Inner corner- blooming mad 

Outer v- green room

Upper lid line- black ivy

Lower lid line- black ivy with copper thorn over it 

Face- L'oreal visible lift blur foundation

Setting powder- sp3ctrum translucent powder

Blush- bread for beauty

Highlight- worldly wealth

Lips- sheen supreme lust extract

I rather like the deep floral look in both pattern and cosmetics.

MAC Fashion Sets Spring 2013

Just in case you missed the online release of MAC Fashion Sets for spring 2013, you're in luck! Nordstrom will be receiving this collection and it should be released on counters and in store on the 4th of April (same day it will be released on MAC counters).

Just a few tips for future collections:

1) collections are usually released online a week before in stores,

2) collections are usually released at 6am, 12pm, 6pm, and 12am est. so those are great times to start searching your desired product if the collection is not officially live yet.

3) keep an eye on blogs and Instagram. Follow the beauty addicts to be notified when the collections go live. A lot will alert you if you ask them to ( follow me at Recycledstardust, leave your comment and ill at you when collections go live)

4) if you happen to miss the item you wanted, wait for it to be released in store, on Macy's, Nordstrom, and even Bloomingdales websites. 

5) if all else fails find a reputable seller on eBay

Alright, i don't know about you but i really am starting to miss the spring/summer! Fall as just begun and while i love all the new fall colors and styles i miss my bright peachy, corals, and pink lipsticks. So as a last horrah and a final farewell to spring and summer, i would like to share my favorite MAC Amplified spring/summer 2012 shades.

Vegas Volt, Impassioned, and Chatterbox

Just looking at them together makes me want to throw on a pair of flip flops, some sun tan lotion, and head to the beach. If you go against the trends, miss summer, or just love these colors, you can pick these up at any MAC counter or here!

Vegas Volt-
A creamy coral peach. I love this color because it is both orange and pink! It is soft, it is bright, and will really add a pop of color to your lips. Since these are of an amplified finish they are very opaque, non streaky, and do not seem to show many lip flaws.

Impassioned- 
 This is a beautiful warm pink. Its a little muted so it isn't hot or neon pink, but it is on the red side. This amplified finish really makes lips look beautiful. Full and even coverage, opaque, does not show lip flaws, and lasts for almost 4 hours. A must have for pink lovers.

Chatterbox-
This bright red pink was perfect for the summer and spring of 2012. If you were to pick any pink to wear all year round this should be on the top of your list. This shade looks great paired with a smokey eye or even with just mascara for a simple girly look. Opaque, even coverage, non streaky, doesn't show lip flaws, another must have.
