Lime Crime Opaque Lipstick in New Yolk City, Mint To Be, and No She Didn't Review and Swatches

Prepare yourself, these swatches are not for the meek and the timid! At the beginning of March Lime Crime restocked all the delicious and bright pastel shades of lipstick ($15.99). While i honestly don't remember these ever being "seasonal" they are now, so get them while you can.

The packaging is something you may either love or hate. These babies come packaged in a bight purple box adorned with silver unicorns and if you think it ends there you are wrong. The tubes themselves feature a holographic unicorn and stars on a bright purple base. These tubes are almost the size of MAC but just a bit larger. These snap closed.

The formula is very creamy and highly pigmented. These apply well but after an hour they begin to look sometimes streaky or chalky. I like to line my lips with a corresponding liner ( try MAC chromatography pencils) to prevent a streaky or cakey look after a few hours. I also suggest blotting your lips after applying because simple pressing of the lips together can cause the look of this lipstick to change on your lips. While not the best formula on their own there are solutions and they are great for photo shoots. I personally did not find these drying but i would suggest exfoliating lips before applying to avoid any lip flaws showing through.

The shades that i picked up are New Yolk City a bright banana yellow (this shade had the most issues with even coverage), Mint To Be - green mint, and No She Didn't a bright blue shade (this had the best coverage)

Overall if you are looking for some shockingly bright lipstick you can look no further than Lime Crime. Great for photo shoots, quick wear, or worn over a corresponding lip pencil. There are other brands with higher quality lipsticks like Milan Rowe ($14) who has similar colors. You can check out Caribbean Queen and Phenomenon as they are similar to Mint to Be and No She Didn't.

I am so late with this product! This was the first palette that Limecrime released as part of its fantasy palettes. I passed on it initially since i thought the colors appeared to not work well together. After seeing countless reviews and different looks i realized how mistaken i was. I also happen to own every other palette and wanted to complete my collection.

First off this palette was in a golden envelope type packaging with a unicorn stamp and everything. Very nice detail for just the box this product comes in.

This palette has an overall Asian theme to it (or at least it is supposed to) All colors in this palette are matte aside from Goldfish which has a shimmery sheen to it. These shades apply sightly chalky but are highly pigmented (aside from Lotus Noir which can be a little streaky), and are easy to blend. These are decent quality and apply true to what you see in the palette. Apply over primer for a richer pop of color. No fallout. These colors swatch almost identical to what is shown on the site which can't be said for a lot of their other products.

Overall this isn't my favorite palette from Limecrime but it does have a nice mix of colors which can work well together. While i am not sure how many people would use a red eyeshadow, Fly Dragon Fly, it is great to have and will stand out against Goldfish and Lotus Noir. I think this is an excellent piece to add to a makeup collection if you like mattes and bold colors.

Kleancolor Vibe-rant Duo Eyeliner Swatches and Review

Summer may be long over now, but my love affair with bright and beautiful cosmetics is not. I actually purchased these liners a while ago but never got the chance to feature them here. Kleancolor is an affordable brand with various products ranging from nail art to cosmetics. These Vibe-rant Duo Eyeliners are just that, vibrant. From the packaging to the applied color these shades are not meant for the meek. What first caught my eye, however, was the unique and bright packaging. These liners will stand out in your collection just as much as they will stand out on your eyes.

The top silver cap contains a pencil liner of the corresponding color of the tube. Each pencil liner applies softly and will not tug at your eyelid. One swipe is all you need for rich color. Yellow is the only shade that was a little tricky. Sometimes i only had to do a line, sometimes i had to go over it. Depending on your skin tone and how you apply you may experience various results. These liners are matte and they last about 4 hours. I sometimes use these as liners for my more outrageous shades of lipstick.

Kleancoloe Vibe-rant Duo Eyeliner

The bottom of these liners contains a liquid liner that glides on creamy and opaque with higher then expected pigmentation. These dry relatively fast and last longer on the eyes then the pencil liner. They are amazing for a nice pop of color or to create a trendy look all on their own.

For comparison i have included three of my liquid liner's from Limecrime. Currently Limecrime sells very bright and vibrant eyeliners. The shades i have used to compare is CITREUSE,
ORCHIDACEOUS, and 6th ELEMENT. These shades are a bright yellow with a green tint, a bright purple, and a bright orange. The most similar color i found was 6th Element and orange. Kleancolor is much more affordable with similar quality.

 Overall if you like bright colored cosmetics and don't like to pay top dollar when you don't have to, Kleancolor Vibe-rant Duo Eyeliner may be a good choice for you. If you use them for lining your eyes or your lips, these highly pigmented liners are a fun addition to any makeup collection.

Lime Crime Liquid Eyeliner Review

Lime crime... Oh how I love and hate you.
First off, let's put all the drama surrounding creator Doe Deer and her lab out of our minds. Good. Ok second let's put the fact that the company was blatantly taking mica's from TKB Trading (worth about a dollar) and selling it for 13 calling it an eyeshadow.  Done?

Ok. Now on to their newest product, liquid eyeliners. Despite all that is mentioned above I was so psyched about these bright and colorful liners- bright pastel, opaque, and liquid? Yes count me in!

I ordered 6th element, which is a bright orange, Orchidaceous, which is a violet purple, and the Citreuse, a yellowish/greenish color. They arrived by mail almost 2 weeks after I ordered them. I contacted customer service about the length of their shipping and i was promptly and politely told that it was due to the release of these new liners and I was understanding. Once the box arrived, which was bright purple and adorned with a unicorn, I couldn't help but feel like a kid at Christmas, until I saw what was under all the beautiful wrapping..

Now I guess I didn't read all the details of these liquid eye liners because they are only .04 oz (which is considered a sample size to most cosmetics manufactures). To bring that into perspective a tube of regular black liquid L'Oreal liner, found in drugstores, size .23 oz can run about 10 dollars, while lime crime is selling liquid liners for $13.99 And are 5 times, yes FIVE TIMES smaller in size. If the argument is about color or even uniqueness of a product. NYX cosmetics had a bright colored liquid liner collection in similar colors not too long ago and they were more than twice the size of these and three times less in price.

So by now you think I completely hate this product, but I don't. What I love about this product is how smooth it is, the color pay off, the fact that it does last all day, and the packaging.

Over priced. Messed up brush. Better products can be found else wear. They do have a decent selection though and is not limited to just bright colors, offering dark blue and even a black.
