Welcome to the 6 month anniversary of The Big Pink Box! In the past 6 months (despite some seriously bad boxes), this subscription has been great! Experiencing new brands, falling in love with new products, and all without having to scour the internet for the best new items. Really though, aside from all the fun, it is about supporting women owned business. Women enjoying the products of other hard working women. Even if your eyes don't always like the products your soul knows you did something good by supporting these women over going to forever 21 or bath and body works. So cheers The Big Pink Box and Amber Rose. I look forward to many more months with you and cant wait to see what you offer up next!
As a bonus this month all The Big Pink Box subscribers got this cute The Big Pink Box tote. What better way to go green (... err pink) than to carry around a pink tote as you shop! Though thin it is quite sturdy and makes a great bag to take to the gym or even to go clothes shopping.. from independent women owned boutiques of course!
Inside the tote, wrapped in black and white hounds-tooth tissue paper, were all the items for the month of March.
Live In Fashion- www.liveinfashion.com
When i first saw this coiled up piece of metal it reminded me of a slinky. Once i realized it was a bracelet i kind of got excited. I honestly do not own one piece of jewelry that looks like this. When it is open it reminds me of a bangle and when it is closed it looks like a slinky on my wrist. I find wearing it both ways cute and i have gotten quite a few "WHERE DID YOU GET THAT FROM"(s).
Curls - www.curls.biz
This is the second time this product has been included and since i do not have curly hair i once again can not tell you much more about this product.
Sp3ctrum Cosmetics - www.sp3ctrum.com
This lip balm had me over the moon. It applied so soft and it was like my lips.. but better. I have heard of girls who found their perfect product that did that for them, and now i have found mine! International Jezebel is a warm nude shade with just the right amount of bronze shimmer. It lets your natural lip shade come through but makes your lips glossy and soft. This was a non sticky product yet lasted 2 hours before the need to reapply.
Mojo Coutour- www.mojocouture.com
These gold and pearl earrings are all class. Though they may only be costume jewelry they make any day a special occasion. With a chain of rhinestones they sparkle and the pearls just had a classic touch.
247 Fashion Plus- www.247fashionplus.storeenvy.com
I am not at all a fan of studs but these are pretty cute. Like above, these are also costume jewelry but they add a nice touch of class to any look.
Kiss My Wrist- www.kissmywrist.com
This is the third piece of jewelry i have received that is turquoise (i guess turquoise is big?) I love that each piece has veins of brown making it look a bit vintage or authentic. The sliver bead with rhinestones was a nice accent as well. This barecelet felt comfortable on the wrist and i felt stylish wearing it.
Bubble Babez - www.bubblebabez.com
What an adorable cupcake! This mini cupcake is actually a bath bomb. What better way, and even fat free!, to enjoy a cupcake after a long day. Take a nice soak in the tub with this high qaulity product.
Lastly this card for Naomi's Rose was included for no reason what so ever since it did not have an item attached to it. Since i could not sample anything from this brand and do not know the quality i have no interest in it. Pass.
Overall this was one of the better months and so, so, SO much better than the February flop! I can't wait to see what next month brings.

Sp3ctrum Lip Glaze in Peaches, Tiffany, and Michele Review and Swatches
Have you ever thought to yourself, wouldn't it be great to have bright, pigmented glossy lips with all the color of a lipstick? Well Sp3ctrum Cosmetics did and introduced their new Lip Glaze. With countless colors, the ability to blend and combine, and cute female names these are hard to pass up.
The packing of this product is in a turn and click type tube. Each one is filled by weight so it will come looking about half empty and be reduced further as you turn the applicator. The shade comes out of the brush. While i love the formula and colors (for the most part) this is my least favorite type of applicator because i feel it is not precise i personally would have preferred an OCC lip tar type tube or even just a jar that i could use my own brush to apply. These do make applying on the go easier though.
These sell for $14 which is 4 dollars more than they were when they were first introduced. I know prices increase but this has made the idea of buying multiples less appealing (buy one miss out on 4$ but by 3 and miss out on 12$.. no thanks). On top of that there was a shipping increase to 7$ making purchasing one over 20 dollars. So weather you buy one or a few there is a significant increase. I think their perfect price point was at $12 (with 5$ shipping) it is a reasonable increase and allowed the buyer to get one for under 20 dollars. There are often promotions though for buy 2 get one free and these are the best time to purchase multiple colors or try colors you may not have.
The formula of these are a little bit inconsistent. While i love how they feel on my lips and how bright and bold they are some shades apply streaky and even the same shade in two different tubes can apply differently. My friend bought a shade and i bought the same one a week or two later and while hers was streaky and uneven out of the tube mine was perfectly opaque. The only shade i personally ever had an issue with was Monique. A beautiful dark purple. I wore this shade to school and not even a half hour later i noticed that the pigmentation was drifting. You could see the base on my lips but the color itself was gathering on the sides of my lips and it looked as though i had eaten jelly and left pieces of it on my lips. It was very unflattering. All the other shades i tried did not have this issue.
Overall i would recommend Sp3ctrum Lip Glaze to anyone looking for a glossy yet highly pigmented lip shade that requires no tools to put on. While the price is a bit high sign up for promotions and you will save quite a bit of money. While there is some chance you may have to worry about batch inconsistency there is a low chance you will have an issue (i had one issue out of 11 colors). You can pick these up along with plenty of other shades here!

The Big Pink Box December 2012 Box 2 Review
A few days ago i received my The Big Pink Box.
After feeling just slightly a little underwhelmed last month i was
really hoping that this month i would be wowed. I was more then wowed!
First off, this month there were 2! boxes offered. Touted as the
December double up. Since i always seem to find the grass greener on the
other side i needed to get both. This post will be a review on Box 2.
If you are curious as to what The Big Pink Box is, it is a box of products created by women owned business. For only $25 a month, which includes shipping, you receive a great range of products from jewelry to cosmetics, from clothes bath and body. No other box will offer you this many great products at such a good price, and most are full sized! So if you want to support some small women owned business while getting amazing, unique items, you should sign up here!
The tissue paper lining Box 2 was similar to Box 1 in that, it too, was houndstooth. This time in pink! Every bit as chic, i couldn't wait to tare it open, gently of course!
Rich Girlz Cross Bracelet-
I have been following Rich Girlz and her adorable daughter on instagram for a while. The girl is beautiful, stylish, and makes amazing accessories. I have been eying a few of her items for a while now but as you all can probably tell i buy mostly cosmetics and subscription boxes so i always put it off. I am so glad i received one of her products in The Big Pink Box. It is every bit of class and style that it thought it would be. Made with Swarovski crystals, this impressive bracelet is a simple accessory that carries a lot of bling! While normally i would criticize the price, $30 dollars, Swarovski is a well known brand when it comes to crystals and i think this product may be worth more than even that asking price. I am not sure i would purchase this on my own due to the fact that i usually don't splurge on Swarovski and the cheaper versions are fine for me, i however love her other products and encourage anyone who likes hip, urban, trendy jewelery to check out some of her other items.

L.A.N.D. Whipfinity-
While this was a sample size i feel like it was a generous amount! I used this on both my hair and skin. A little goes such a long way. I placed some in the palms of my hands and rubbed them together before rubbing my hands through my hair. I also placed this on the rough areas on my skin. I went to bed. I woke up and my hair was soft and tangle free, but not greasy, and my skin felt softer! While this product does not feel oily or greasy i feel it is better to use it at night or while relaxing. I own a lot of higher end creams and lotions and i found this to be right on par with some of them. Made with 100% natural ingredients.

Bie Glam Star Track Watch-
I am absolutely delighted by this watch. I love pink, so maybe i am a little bias but wow a cute pink watch with a mirror face? Yes yes yes! With a push of a button the time is illuminated in red. This piece is stylish and also practical. I wish the mirror didn't blatantly say LED Watch, but it isn't one of those make or break kind of things for me. I would recommend this product to anyone who likes a stylish and fun watch that doubles as a mirror. Bie Glam offers products for "Small city girls with big city dreams", I am a big city girl with big city dreams and i adore this!

Zombies & Lollipops Beaded Bracelet-
Classy meets punk rock? Yep you just owned my heart! This adorable and classy bracelet from Zombies and Lollipops is awesome. Grey pearls and a teal skull is a unique combination that i am sure you won't find just anywhere. I love that this can be worn with a simple classy outfit like a blazer and pants and still come off as classy because it is subtle, but also be worn with ripped jeans and a band tee and come off as punk rock. It is veritile and i love that.

Freak Show Polish in Snake Lady-
This polish, while a sample size, packs a lot of polish. At first i thought this was an opaque glitter polish but it is more of a top coat. With varying sizes of glitter in black, copper, and white, the "snake" theme is apparent. I think it is pretty overall, but i would have liked for it to have more glitter content since it applies a little thin. Dries fast, the order isn't too strong, and is not thick.

Finetuned Treads Gift Certificate-
I was pretty happy to see this gift card until i visited the site. While the clothes look creative and trendy i couldn't really figure out how to buy anything. Plus, i did not see much plus size clothing. Shrugs

This month we received a bonus item in Box 2-
Sp3ctrum Cosmetics Moni Tiare Tahiti Soap-
This gentle soap with a unique scent is perfect to hydrate skin naturally. I loved the scent and how it left no residue upon use. Better than most bath and body works products i own.
