Mirenesse Lip Bomb 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 11, and 15 Review and Swatches
When i received my Ipsy bag for the month of October i got to try this great product that was a hybrid of lip gloss, lip stick, lip stain, and lip lacquer called a Lip Bomb by Mirenesse. I was so in love with this revolutionary product that i had to go and purchase (nearly) all of them! By joining their VIP club i was able to get all of these products at a very steep discount and will give more information about this interesting club in a future post.
Mirenesse Lip Bombs have a smooth and creamy formula that glides on the lips effortlessly. The applicator is a uniquely shaped sponge that allows you to define your lips while also filling them in. The application is highly pigmented and rich in color without feeling thick or sticky on the lips. You can blot these to produce a more matte appearance otherwise these will stay glossy on the lips for hours. I did not experience feathering since these are thicker than an average lip gloss, however, i did experience some color depositing with some of the lighter shades. When i pressed my lips together and then then opened them there was a thin line of color, which looked a little thicker. This doesnt last long though, after about an hour of wear this problem was no longer an issue. I would suggest applying the lighter shades just a little thinner. While wearing these my son accidentally hit me in my lip area and this product did not budge and kept it's shine! This is a high quality product that will leave you with lucious, colored, high shine lips that will last all day.

This shade is slightly different from the rest in that it is meant to be layered over other lip bombs to lighten or highlight them. Great for ombre lips.

Milan Rowe Plush Lipshine in Posh Kiss Review and Swatches
I have to be honest, i am not a huge fan of lip gloss. I always find so many things wrong with so many different formulas that i often hate the gamble. I have recently discovered a few good brands that i have been sticking to. One brand that i tried recently is Milan Rowe Plush Lipshine.
| Milan Rowe Plush Lipshine in Posh Kiss |
Milan Rowe Plush Lipshine in Posh Kiss is a high gloss, high shine, mineral base lip gloss. This gloss is everything it is described on the Milan Rowe website. It is highly pigmented and shimmery. Described as a grape pearl shade but i feel this can lean pink/red/purple depending on your skin tone, and lip color. On light skin such as mine with naturally pinkish/red lips this gloss appears to lean in towards a deep pink color. I love how this gloss is a great color all on its own, but i also love that it can be layered over a red, purple, or pink lipstick to give it a richer and more multi-demential shade. Since this product is mineral based it leaves lips feeling soft and moisturized, so this is great if your lips are prone to drying and cracking. I did not find this product to bleed but i did find it to slightly feather. A little clear liner would fix this problem. Has a soft scent, not over powering, non sticky.

Overall Milan Rowe Plush Lipshine in Posh Kiss is ideal If you are looking for a lip gloss which has high pigmentation and can be used on its own or layered over a lipstick to add a pearlesq shimmer. Also a great choice for those fall and winter months were lips can become dry and damage. With this gloss your lips stay smooth and moisturized while looking beautifully glossed. If you want to try bold and bright colors, Milan Rowe is a great place to turn to. You won't be disappointed. To see the whole range of shades and products please check out Milan Rowe Cosmetics.

October 2012 Beauty Army Box Review and Swatches
I realize i am on the brink of December and late is an understatement but here i am with my October Beauty Army Box. If you are wondering about the breast cancer awareness theme for my box, my window for selection is always at the end of the month, so i got this in November.
As always i love the sturdy box. I always reuse them to hold my nail polish supplies since if anything leaks these sturdy boxes prevent it from getting all over everything.
My box this month was by no means terrible but also by no means impressive.
SKINN COSMETICS Twin Set (Pink Tulip)
When i saw this product in my selection window i was really excited. A matching, two in one, soft pink lipstick and gloss. While the lipstick has a soft, candy like odor, glides on soft, it isn't very pigmented so it is nice for just a wash of color. The gloss however, is a sticky, mess of a product that even a pre-teen with no makeup knowledge wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole. It's a shame because this product could have been the shining star of this box and had so much potential.
BATH & BODY WORKS Twilight Woods Shower Gel
So i have heard some people are getting sick of seeing bath and body works products in their selection window, i am not one of these people. I have loved being able to try so many amazing scents that i haven't yet got the chance to try. While they aren't worth the price listed on the bottom of the bottle i do find they added a decent amount of worth to by box in that i got almost half a month of use from this one little bottle. Warm scent, lathers nicely, and leaves my skin feeling smooth.
Skyn ICELAND Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels
When i first opened this package i saw two, sort of, half moon shaped, pads that easily peel off. I applied these to my eyes and felt a cooling sensation. It wasn't super cold, but it was a nice feeling. I did notice a small difference in the way under my eyes look, but nothing significant enough that it would show up on camera.
LIPSI COSMETICS Aphrodite Powder
I got this powder last month and i liked it so much that when i saw it in my selection window i picked up another one. If you have an oily T-zone or just need a product that you can dust on to make your skin appear matte this is pretty good. It looks nude colored in the jar but actually adjusts to your skin color. I don't know if that applies to darker tones but if you are fair to warm in skin color this will work pretty well.
RUDDY WATER Blushed Fragrance Pouch
I liked the subtle feminine scent of this product but i don't think it is a product i would buy.
Every month Beauty Army lets you pick your own samples out of a selection of 9. My sections were decent and i feel they were worth the $12 i paid (shipping is included) Like most monthly boxes this service is hit or miss. If you like the idea of being able to pick your samples, this would be a great box to sign up for. Sign up here!

While this isn't much of a beauty product i did like having this in my box. This tea made me feel alert and had an overall pleasant taste. Products like these are great not only for using as an actual beverage but teabags help to relieve puffiness in the eyes. So there are a few added benefits of seeing products like this in the selection window.

Milan Rowe Pressed Eyeshadow in Dazzle Review and Swatches
My love of bright and dramatic lipstick colors is no secret, and sometimes i don't always know what to pair with certain shades since there is a fine line between looking fresh and trendy and like a box of crayola (though sometimes i really wish i could just wear every color at once!). A good choice to down play the pop of color on the lips is to choose a neutral or monotone eye shade. When i am not going bright, i do love a good nude as well, i want my eyes to pop but a little more classically. Whats a good product for both looks? A smokey, slightly sparkly, eye shadow.
Milan Rowe Pressed Eyeshadow in Dazzle is a rich, pigmented black, with small silver micro shimmer. It is not by any means glittery, its subtle sparkle that adds just a small touch shimmer to the eye without taking away from the shadows rich pigment. If you like your shadow more shimmery after application dab a little extra shadow over your look to deposit extra shimmer. I found this shade soft, but not crumbly. Easy to blend, highly pigmented, minimal fall out, and extremely long lasting. I wore this out, fell asleep, and woke up with my eye shadow in tact. So if you are looking for a shadow to last all day and into the night you need to pick this up! You can find it exclusively here.

When applied over primer the shimmer is more apparent while when applied on bare skin it isn't as apparent given you choice in how you want this product to look on you.

| without flash over primer |
I was super tired, so please excuse my tired eye. I am wearing this shadow on my lid with a soft swipe of primer on my lid. I applied this shadow with a small eyeshadow brush to my lid and gently swept it upward to the brow bone. I dabbed on some extra near my lash line to have a little extra shimmer there. I applied mascara and the look was gone. Pair with a dramatic lip color or a nude lip!
Over all i would recommend Milan Rowe Pressed Eyeshadow in Dazzle if you are looking for a fantastic, high pigmented, slightly sparkly, black shadow that is long lasting, easily bendable, and will give you the perfect smokey eye to pair with both dramatic and nude lips. If you want
to try bold and bright
colors, Milan Rowe is a great place to turn to. You won't be
disappointed. To see the whole range of shades and products please check
