Mirenesse Lip Bomb 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 11, and 15 Review and Swatches
When i received my Ipsy bag for the month of October i got to try this great product that was a hybrid of lip gloss, lip stick, lip stain, and lip lacquer called a Lip Bomb by Mirenesse. I was so in love with this revolutionary product that i had to go and purchase (nearly) all of them! By joining their VIP club i was able to get all of these products at a very steep discount and will give more information about this interesting club in a future post.
Mirenesse Lip Bombs have a smooth and creamy formula that glides on the lips effortlessly. The applicator is a uniquely shaped sponge that allows you to define your lips while also filling them in. The application is highly pigmented and rich in color without feeling thick or sticky on the lips. You can blot these to produce a more matte appearance otherwise these will stay glossy on the lips for hours. I did not experience feathering since these are thicker than an average lip gloss, however, i did experience some color depositing with some of the lighter shades. When i pressed my lips together and then then opened them there was a thin line of color, which looked a little thicker. This doesnt last long though, after about an hour of wear this problem was no longer an issue. I would suggest applying the lighter shades just a little thinner. While wearing these my son accidentally hit me in my lip area and this product did not budge and kept it's shine! This is a high quality product that will leave you with lucious, colored, high shine lips that will last all day.

This shade is slightly different from the rest in that it is meant to be layered over other lip bombs to lighten or highlight them. Great for ombre lips.

On Trend- Vampy Lips Drugstore Edition
I just wanted to apologize for my last post on Vampy Lip trends. I seemed to only focus on higher end cosmetics and i felt that was a little unfair to some. So this post will be dedicated to drugstore lipsticks for the Vampy Lip trend! Also i promise to be more even next time i make a trend post!
For Deep Plum- Rimmel London Lasting Finish Kate Moss 04-
This whole line is just fantastic. From the candy smell, high pigmentation, high opacity, and how long it lasts, this is just an A+ Lipstick. This dark purple is just enough to make a statement but not really washout those who are on the fair and light side.
For rich cherry red- Milani Black Cherry 11-
This shade has complete coverage. There is no streaking or bleeding and it will leave your lips feeling moisturized. It doesn't last all day but if you use a lip primer (like pixi line and prime) this will last much longer. This shade really stands out and because of how warm it is would work on most skin tones. With a price tag of only 3 dollars you cant help but pick this up.
For Brown Red- Wet N Wild 917 B Cinnamon Spice-
This is a matte brick red shade. It isn't as deep of a brown up close but from afar on light skin it can appear to be just dark enough to go with the trend. On darker skins this may show up as a much lighter color, so maybe do a skin swatch before using this for the vampy shade. Since long wear can be a little drying maybe add a lip primer or some chapstick under this shade to keep your lips moisturized.
For a Deeper Red Brown- Wet N Wild 918 D Cherry Bomb-
This shade is a much richer version of the one above. It is darker in both the red and brown tones. It will definitly give you those blood red lips your looking for and since it is matte it has quite a bit of staying power. As mentioned above for more moisture use blam/chapstick or primer under this shade.
For Dark Gothic Purple- Wet N Wild 919B Vamp It Up
This shade is so dark it can appear black depending on the lighting. This is a shade that takes the trend of vampy lips seriously. This is also from the Wet N Wild mega last matte collection which has honestly taken me from spring to summer and now into fall. This shade like all the rest is matte, long lasting, and just a tiny bit drying. It is opaque and only very very slightly streaky but its so slightly that unless your always pressing your lips together you wont even notice.
What do you think of this trend?

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Kate Moss Lipstick 04 11 12 14 and 15 Review And Swatchs
As you may recall a few posts back (see it here), i got my hands on some Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Moss Collection. I fell in love with how opaque it was, the sweet, but not over powering candy smell, the sleek professional looking tubes and of course the enhancer shade (number 15)! Needless to say i had to get some more.
Right now on ULTA.COM there is a sale where if you are new to the site and spend 10 dollars they will give you 3.50 off. These are $5 dollars each. So that's more than half off for one! Check it out here if your interested! Promo code: 73886. The new shades that i purchased are 04, 11, and 14.
Kate 04 is a very deep dark purple but more on the plum side. It applies evenly and opaquely. It is pigmented just enough so that you dont have to swipe it over your lips over and over, but also if you swipe once you can achive just a little color. It lasts for quite a while. I ate, drank, and lounged around for 5 hours and still had most of the color remaining on my lips. It is not drying, not chalky, and is forgiving of lip flaws. Overall it is just a fantastic drugstore lipstick.
Kate 14 is a pinky nude. It's the kind of nude that wont wash out your lips and make you look like you just applied concealer as lipstick. If you darker skinned this wont be a nude for you but will come off as a peachy pink. I think depending on how its worn it could look good on any skin color. Keep your lips neutral and your eyes dramatic or vise versa rule applies here. (PS. i always break this rule)
Kate 11-
Sometimes i look at my lipstick collection and make a mental note, ok, no more red. I listen to myself for a while, then a beauty like this comes along and i cant help myself. While i may love every color lipstick, old fashioned red is the color that seems to look the best on me. I love this shade, it reminds me of something Marilyn Monroe would wear. It applies perfectly opaque, doesn't stain my lips (if im wearing lipstick the last thing i want is for it to remain long after its wanted, im looking at you Covergirl), smells sweet, and matches the tube. This is such a classic classy shade.
Overall this collection is a very classy collection. Whether you like dark shades, natural shades, or pop shades this collection has it. If you check out just one, i promise you will fall in love!
Quick Edit- I recently purchased 12, and instead of creating an entirely new blog about it, i figured i would add it here!
Kate 12-
This is an orange toned coral. It can lean on the pink side or orange side depending on your skin tone or even the amount of light in the room. It is a very pretty color overall and applies with even coverage. Its not too light in that it shows lip perfections but it is still light enough to be a shade that is a little different than what you would normally find in the drugstore.

As i mentioned in my previous entry about Rimmel London's Kate Lasting Finish Lipstick, shade 15 when applied under or over lipstick can change the color. Shade 15 is a shimmery gray purple.
