Urban Decay The Vice Palette Review and Swatches

Urban Decay The Vice Palette

I feel like it has been forever since i got this palette. I have been so backed up that i have been putting this product on the back burner, where it certainly does not belong! The Urban Decay The Vice Palette is one of my favorite and diverse shadow palettes that i have ever bought from Urban Decay. The Vice Palette contains shadows that range in finish from matte, glitter shimmer, metallic, and sheer (in a great way!). The colors range from bright and loud to naked neutral. The amount of looks you can create with this palette is staggering.

The packaging on The Vice Palette is very sleek. A matte purple outer casing with the title in glossy letters. The UD is raised white plastic crystals. Though it sounds a little tacky it is quite pretty in person. This palette opens with the push of a button on the front side of the box. This palette contains 20 shadows with clever names like "chaos", "noise", and "blitz". These shadows, though many contrasting, compliment each other. If you look at it in rows (top to bottom or even left to right) contain colors that go well together. For example the bottom row contains perfect neutrals for an everyday look while the second row from the bottom contains colors perfect for a soft girly look. I personally love row three (from the left, top to bottom) this row contains Jagged, Occupy, Vice, and Anonymous. I love how these shades blend and work together for a colorful yet cool toned, smokey look.

The formula of these shades range from soft to hard. The matte shades like Chaos and Laced are hard and apply very opaque with no fallout. Shades like Jagged and Noise have a little micro glitter in them so they apply softer with a little bit of fall out. The metallic shades like Nevermind and Blitz are very soft, so much so, that i suggest you be careful when using your brush on them (very little pressure is needed). Though soft i did not find significant fallout with these.

This palette also contained a double ended brush. This soft urban decay brush contains a smaller end perfect for applying lid shads and also a fluffier, bigger end that is great for blending. I personally, do not find this brush to be great for overall looks, and i find double ended brushes a little pointless, it is great for those who do not have brushes, or are looking to have an extra brush in their collection.

Overall i would recommend The Vice Palette by Urban Decay to anyone who likes eyeshadow that is a little adventurous. If you would like to add a wide range of colors to your makeup collection this is also a good choice. It is also a good way to discover some shades you may not have thought of using while also giving you access to safer shades. With great overall pigmentation, wide range of finishes and shades, this product is a must have. Product can be found here!
