MAC Archie's Girls Betty Flatter Me Pearlmatte Face Powder Review and Swatches

MAC Archie's Girls Pearlmatte Face Powder in Flatter Me
The first limited edition, special packaging, collection for 2013 has landed! MAC Archie's Girls is finally here after months of waiting! This collection was separated into two sides- Betty and Veronica! Since Betty and Veronica have their own distinct styles MAC gave them two distinct color schemes! Are you the soft, pink, girl next door? Or, are you the ruthless, just a little spoiled, Veronica? Maybe a mix of both!

If you took a look at my last post on MAC Archie's Girls Cream Soda Betty blush you will see a lot of similarities with this post. For starters, Flatter Me is a bit sheerer than Cream Soda because it is a face powder but they compliment each other very well. If you were weary about purchasing Cream Soda because of how it can appear brighter on lighter skin tones this would be a great alternative since it is sheerer. Flatter Me does have a bit more pink in it however, and is officially described as golden peach with coral hearts. The hearts are a satin finish while the base is a pearlized finish. This leaves for a dewy complexion that would flatter many of the lighter skin tones but also would make a good highlighter for those with a bit darker skin tones. This shade lasts about 7 hours over a cream foundation or face primer. Though there was some fading in he pearl like qualities.

The packaging for Flatter me is a little bit different from the other Betty specific products in that it is both Betty and Veronica eying Archie in the middle. The white glossy base is a change from the matte, black, packaging that MAC uses on its permanent line.

Overall i like how this product preformed. The quality of this product, despite its purposely sheer nature, was on par with other products that MAC offers. I like how it compliments Cream Soda so that they can be worn together because it is sheerer it is makes it the perfect face base for layering Cream Soda over as a blush. The coral hearts of Flatter Me allow Cream Soda to still pop or any other blush you choose. The packaging is adorable and fits great for both valentines day and also lovers of the Archie Comic.
