MAC Strength Collection Lipsticks Review and Swatches

When the Strength collection released (earlier than MAC promised...) i went on a mad dash. I didn't just have my eye on one or two shades, no, this was a collection i knew that i had to have all of it. Bright, bold, statement shades of lipsticsks, there wasn't one i didn't like. The only problem is, the night before it was even due to be released online, lipsticks were sold out. It took much longer than i had hopped to track down all the lipsticks so that i could bring you a proper review. So now here you have it! What better way to start off a new year than with some gorgeous, bold, MAC lipstick!

MAC's Strength collection contained only matte finish shades. I always prefer matte over creme because it lasts, it is easier to define the lips without liner, and it is more pigmented. Even though these are matte i did not find them drying. They lasted a good 6 hours on my lips needing only minimal touch up. All the shades applied opaque, the only slightly streaky color was Firm Form (Black with gold), and none of these colors bled. They all had that beautiful and familiar MAC vanilla scent and were contained in the normal MAC packaging. All these shades are Limited Edition.

Overall i was in love with this collection. Though this bold shades may not be for everyone it is nice to step out of the neutral box sometimes. These colors apply cleanly and can be paired with a neutral eye look so that the lipsticks are statement lips or paired with dramatic eyes for an overall creative look. I find these colors very warble and fun.
