Chanel has released their fall makeup collection. I am not entirely impressed with the collection over all but the pieces i fell in love with, i really love. I am sorry to say i did not purchase all of the single shadow colors, but the three i did get, i absolutely love.

Chanel Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch EyeShadow are compacts with a single shade of shadow, large mirror, and a small Chanel applicator brush. The three that i decided to purchase are 69 Black Star, 94 Eclaire, and 97 Infini.
69 Black Star is a beautiful shimmery black. It isnt so much a deep black, or a super pigmented black, its just a soft shimmery black which leans little light gray. It has fine micro silver glitter which adds some sparkle to an otherwise dark color. Its good for blending a smokey eye and i purchased it to accompany Eclaire and Infini. Since it is soft to the touch and very finely milled you are able to blend this very easily with any other color.

97 Infini is a shimmery silver. It appears frosty when applied to the skin and reminds me of a winter shade. This can be applied wet or dry. I prefer to apply it simply over primer to achieve medium opacity. Since this is a soft and finly milled shadow you will have no problem blending it. You can apply this to the lid or as an under brow color. This is good as an inner eye corner brightener as well. Just as Black Star this shade also contains very fine micro silver shimmer. This has a metallic finish.

94 Eclaire is a golden shimmer. Unlike the other two this yellow/gold has no silver micro shimmer, but it does have a bit of golden shimmer and appears with a pearl finish. This shade like the first two is very soft and fine milled. This shade can be used either wet or dry. I prefer to use this shade simply over primer for medium pigmentation.

Lastly when you are done with your shadow it comes with it's own little velour pouch to keep it safe. I love the attenion to details right down to the little eyeshadow saver.
