Lancome Color Design Violet Magnetique 308 All-In-One 5 Shadow Palette Review and Swatches

I am seriously all over Lancome this fall and i am sorry if i can not stop raving about it but their fantastic fall line just keeps me coming back for more. Lancome's 2012 fall line is filled with deep, rich purples, reds, and pinks. I have already reviewed and swatched their matte lip glosses which you can check out here!

For fall Lancome has released a limited edition palette called Violet Magnetique (part of the color design collection) and includes a shimmery beige, coppery rose, violet, silver, and a gold glitter dark navy. These colors blend effortlessly together, apply smoothly, are highly pigmented, range from matte to frost, and this palette comes with an instruction booklet if you aren't a seasoned makeup artist.

I love how well all these colors work together with each other and also with the matte lip glosses. I feel this collection was very well put together. One other benefit of this palette is since many different companies are releasing very similar colors using this as your splurge is very easy. You can pair this with a Revlon lipstick like Va-Va Violet or MAC Up The Amp or even a simple pink tinted lip gloss. You also don't have to apply this palette by the instructions. Perhaps use the Rose as a lid color that blends out to beige or silver. Maybe use the lavender as your lid color with navy crease and outer v? With all the options i think this is perfect for any skin tone and since many different looks can be created it would suit various occasions and styles.

I have one small disappointment. While shopping in my local Century 21 department store on the day i bought this palette i was really taken in by the display. The display showed all the colors above with one tiny, yet major, exception. There was no silver in the display/tester palette. It was a beautiful sea foam green color. The palette looked like a flower. Beautiful purple, rose, navy, and green. Once i got home and saw the silver i was very disappointed. I searched Google to see if others had this issue and i couldn't find any information on it. So i browsed Lancome's website for the color and fount one very similar. While this is more pearl than matte like the one i tested, i will be able to use it for the original ideas i had when i first saw the palette. If you run into this issue this is the closest color to the one in the wrong display at Century 21 Department store.

Fashion Forward-
Even though this appears as a lime green on Lancome's website it is a soft sea foam green.
