From the moment i heard about MAC's holiday collections i was excited. So much to choose from- look bags, palettes, lipstick, eyeshadow, blush, all in beautiful packaging with inspiration from the 1960's. Each collection with amazing items to choose from. This review will focus on the Fabulousness Eye Kits.
Overall Review-
Quite frankly, i am disappointed. While the packaging is adorable, pastel pillow tops with black bow closures, the eyeshadow in these Eye Kits are lacking quality on a significant level. It seems that more attention has gone into the product's packaging then the quality of these products. From under pigmentation to clumping shadow. These are not the standard that i expect from MAC. There are some saving aspects to each palette, but not enough to save it from a negative review. The brush included is soft but i find it a little too small and thus, for me, it is hard to use. For $39.50. Each eyeshadow comes out to a little more then $7 dollars in worth which is on par with MAC's individual shadows sold for $15 (1.5 g) vs $7 (.8g).
Fabulousness Eye Kit in Smokey-
This kit contains 5 shades, Taupeless (luster finish), Satin Taupe (frost), Love Spice (frost), Spell Caster (matte), Black Slip (veluxe pearl). Taupless is a very soft shade that begins to clump up in the palette itself. It is very sheer (this is to be expected because it is a luster). Satin Taupe and Love Spice are both frost shades that have low pigmentation but a bit of shimmer. Spell caster, a matte shade also has low pigmentation and even though it is a matte it does apply in a sheer way which was unexpected for a matte shade. Black slip is the only redeeming color. It has better pigmentation than the other shades in this palette, is slightly shimmery, and apply's well. All these colors blend easily and have little fallout. If they were even a little more pigmented this Eye Kit could have been salvageable. To create a smokey eye with this kit i recommend using Black Slip on the lid blending out with Spell Caster in the crease and Taupless blended out to the brow. This was the worst of the three eye kits.

Fabulousness Eye Kit in Warm Eyes-
This kit contains 5 colors, Glamour Light (satin), Retrospeck (luster), Honesty (luster), Cognac (frost), and Sketch (velvet). This kit is better than Smokey Eyes but is still not up to par with the quality that i expect from MAC. Glamour Light and Retrospeck barely showed up on my skin even when using primer. I am light in color but i could see through the shadow which let me know that it was very low in pigmentation. I would expect that of Retrospeck alone because it is a luster but not of Glamour Light which is a satin. Honesty applied like a frost which was just a wash of brown. The two colors that impressed me the most are the one's MAC gave the least of- Cognac and Sketch which are a brownish golden and a burgundy brown respectively. These shades have fantastic pigmentation, apply smoothly, and are the quality that i had expected for the entire kit. These shades do blend well and i feel if you want to get the most out of these shades perhaps layer Retrospeck or Glamour Light under or over the Sketch. Also Glanour Light and Retrospeck can be used as a highlighter.

Fabulousness Eye Kit in Neutral Eyes-
This kit contains 5 colors in Blonde Mink (luster),
Magical Mist (luster), Brun (satin), Enviable (veluxe pearl), and Smut
(velvet). This kit is the best of the three because all five shades
deliver expected pigmentation for their finishes. The gradation of colors all fit nicely with each other and can be layered or used alone. These shades blend
well together and can be used to create a very natural eye look. The
inclusion of Enviable is a nice touch since it spices up a normal eye
look with just a little bit of color.
