Zoya Gilty Pleasures Limited Edition Box

I love a good limited edition product (though i wish this wasn't!) Zoya, one of the best nail polish brands I've encountered, has released a limited edition Gilty Pleasures box which includes an 18K gold top coat called Gilty along side a soft, creamy white - Purity and a deep, rich black with a slight silver undertone- Raven. While Zoya isn't the only brand to offer a real gold topcoat (see OPI The Man With The Golden Gun) it is the only brand to give you a little more bang for your buck Zoya Gitly Pleasures is $45 while OPI The Man With The Golden Gun is $30 for only one polish. It is all about preference I guess.

I loved how this box was packaged. Each polish is nestled into its own little cut out, while the box is black smei matte with Zoya in silver letters, the inside is black velvet. Its definitely a nice place to keep these polishes.

Both Raven and Purity glide on opaque after only one swipe. I did have quite a few problems with purity. It was a bit thick, i didn't get even coverage, and i found it took forever to dry. Raven gave completely even coverage, dried quick, and did not have any of the problems of Purity.


 Included was a nice little booklet of possible ways to use the Gilty 18k top coat.

I honestly found Gilty to look best over Raven but did find it to also look nice over Purity. Gilty applys somewhat thin and needs to be built up over a few coats. I would have expected for the price for it to be a little bit thicker but i was pleased overall by the results.

 As you can tell a good amount of product had to be used for only one application.

Overall i did really like this set, even with the minor set backs (i can always use another white polish!) and while it does take a lot of Gilty to have a decent coverage, and this isn't great for everyday wear, i think its perfect for the holidays and those special occasions where just the right amount of bling is needed for your nails!
