Lancome L'Absolu Crème de Mat Review and Swatches

Lancome L'Absolu Crème de Mat

Fall is almost here and that means amazing fall collections. Excited? I am! I've already mentioned the bright, shimmery, shadows to make your eyes pop in Chanel's fall line (check it out here!). But what about your lips? My favourite fall collection lip pick is Lancome's Lancome L'Absolu Crème de Mat matte lip gloss. These lip glosses go on glossy and eventually settle to a nice matte finish. They have a soft moose like consistency. The light weight feeling on my lips is heavenly. I have never felt a smoother product that was described as matte in my life. I usually prefer chalky matte products because they stay put, but this is smooth and light and stays put. This lasts for hours! I got about 6 hours of wear with only minimal stain on my lips. The scent is pleasant, the application sponge collects just enough product to cover the lips so there is no need to pump air into the product and add bacteria. These are very pigmented and come out on the lips just as they look in the tube.

Lancome L'Absolu Crème de Mat comes in three perfect for fall shades 100 Potion D'amour, 300 Magie Pourpre, 301 Prune Elixir. These are pretty dark shades. They don't wash out the face and have enough pigmentation to still appear fall appropriate. When wearing these i suggest going light on the eyes for a dramatic pop on the lips or go for a smoky eye for a Gothic look.

  1. I just love the last one... How it looks on pale skin? How is it comparable to MAC Rebel?
    Thank you for swatches!

    1. Since i have pale skin i would say it looks great. If you feel it is a bit too much maybe contour the cheeks, or add a little bronzer as to not look paler than normal. Prune elixir is the exact same color as rebel but this is matte so the finish is a little different. Your welcome and thank you for reading!
