Glam Bag- July 2012- Beach Beauty

FINALLY! After being on the waiting list for two months I finally got my first Glam Bag. While many blogs I've read have recommended against this subscription service, i am about to rave about it!

This months theme is beach beauty. I love companies that theme their monthly bag or box. I feel it helps set the products up to be geared toward the season or event rather than just being items i cant use at the moment. An example is products containing SPF (while you should wear spf everyday...) id expect these more in the summer month or for skin/day themed bags/boxs.

Yes to Cucumbers- Hypoallergenic Facial Towelettes-
I love how these smell, not only do they clean your face but they make your face smell so fresh. Yes to Cucumbers hypoallergenic facial towelettes contain aloe vera so they are smooth on skin while still removing makeup. Ive had pretty bad experiences in the past with facial towelettes that burn or are too rough, but these are really nice. I wear a lot of makeup and i was able to remove it all with two sides of one towelette. It was impressive. For $2.99 you really cant go wrong with these.

Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish in Leslie-
I am really glad i got this lip gloss. Glam Bag does some items that are "or" items, meaning some bags may have one item, while others will have the other. The or item this month was Josie Maran Magic Marker Lip and Cheek Stain. Now i am not a big fan of stains so i felt this item was perfect to be in my bag. This product smells like vanilla but has no funky taste. The smell is not over powering so its just enough to be nice a nice addition to this product. I like how shimmery and thick this gloss is. It would be good over lipstick or as a stand alone. My one issue is that it does feel a little sticky but not so much so that it would stop me from wearing it.

NuMe Hydro Punch Hydrating Conditioner-
 This conditioner contains sage and bamboo extract, argan oil (which i apply nightly to my hair using Julep's Argan Oil), and contains no parabens or paraffins (If you don't know what these are these are in most conditioners and shampoos and there have been concerns over how toxic these additions really are, you can read about that here.) I love how natural this conditioner is. I used it on the tips of my hair when i received it and i feel it has made my dry and damaged ends feel softer. I love how natural this smells and how it isn't too thick and doesn't leave my hair feeling oily. I would recommend this to anyone who does have dry hair or to anyone who wants to use natural products.

Circus by Andrea's Choice Nail Polish in Somersault-
Ahh i love yellow nail polish! I wish i would have known i was getting yellow before i ordered Daisy by Julep, but the more yellow the merrier i guess! This is a very bright yellow and i do love this color and the packaging is adorable... but it doesn't apply as nicely as i wish it would. It is not very opaque and it will require anywhere between 2-3 coats to achieve the full color. It can come off a little streaky but it does dry fast so if you do need to use a few layers you wont be waiting forever in between. The amount you get is pretty generous - 13.2 ML.

Juice Beauty The Organic Solution Green Apple SPF 15 Moisturizer-

 So i thought this would smell like green apples but it kind of has a citrus smell to it. Id say if i had to really describe it it would be limes and apples mixed together with sugar. Its a sweet citrus smell but its very nice. This is a thick moisturizer so you only need a little bit. I do like that i can make my skin soft while also protecting it from the sun. This product is organic so it contains only natural ingredients. (I really liked that there was two organic products in this months bag)
